thats pretty much what he does, youre right. raps the phone book (because thats about how unique his lyrics are) over basically the same beat over and over. and for some crazy reason he's considered a pioneer? i think he's more admired/respected for his business acumen...how he sold his records on the streets, not for his actual rhyming skills, his voice, his beats or his lyrics.

short got mad love at the vh1 awards! did you not see when he yelled out twice "whats my favorite word?" and EVERYONE in the motherfunking house yelled out "BIIAATCH"! and how can you hate on his voice, beat, and lyrics? he has one of the best voices in the rap game his beats especially the basslines and half of what made all his best songs so hot. and while his rhyming style is very simplistic he is a great story teller. when short starts spittin you cant help but listen.

i respect what youre saying but i feel like youre making my point for me. when he asked "whats my fav word" people looked around like "i dont know...whats his favorire word?" i didnt hear anyone say anything and only later realized what he was trying to say. i couldnt hear it at the time. watch his sitting with no one around, no posse or hot chicks. he didnt get any love compared to the rest, or maybe my opinion is skewed because i dont think he's that good.
