The 360 started freezing up a week ago and just kept freezing in the middle of games. Now it freezes before I can even get into the game. I got the Ring of Death.

same exact thing happened to me... im on my fourth now. i want a ps3, but i dont wanna waste the money i spent on my 360 games. just gonna have to wait till the next system comes out.

I got my xbox360 fixed not from microsoft but from me... what i did was i stored my xbox360 for about a month in a cool place.. then i tried turing it on i got green light..
now i made a exterior fan connecting in the usb hub to cool down the heat...plus i've taken out inner steel mental plate that attached to the cover of xbox360 so the air can flow easily!!!

the problem with the 360 is that it's poorly made. if you stand it up it scratches the discs and if you lay it down it blocks the airholes and it overheats.

if you play a game while the 360 is standing up, and you put it on the floor, the game scratches up and makes a circle on the cd.=p
And it'll say "Disc cannot be read" every now and then.=p

The xbox 360 is so terrible, it not that it bad, but the failure rate is so disgusting. the only reason that im not getting a ps3 because i have so many DLC on my 360, and i have alot of game progress and not willing to lose them, but is microsoft make another game console in the future. ill make sure not to buy it, and get the console srom sony(PS4). hopefully.

all the people i no whos xbox has got the red ring of death they had there 360 stud up no thts the problem coz the bit that stands up is a bigger air intake and liein it down reduces the heat build up so ppl be aware i got mine same time as my mate and mines always been lay flat ontop of a work surface and my mate stuck his under the tv with his dvd player and puttin it in the colve did not get rid of the heat it just curculated the heat back into the 360 n his died on him and mines still workin

i strongly sugest people not to get x clamp ring of death fixing kits as this will void your warrenty on your 360 and microsoft will not fix it free if this has been fitted sand you will have to pay them to fix it then so if you do get red ring of death just contact microsoft they will send you out a parcel for you to send your 360 to them and they will fix it if not they will give you a new 360 with a game or 3 xbox live (just send the 360colsole ONLY. hope i helped you with my sugestions
