This is going to be semi-hard to explain:
When short hair is just dry, it is a soft, cushion of individual hairs, and and is just normal looking. When I put gel in it, it makes my hair spiked, and sometimes wavy, etc... Its just styling basically, so it doesnt look the same everyday.
