These old Disney cartoons are what inpired me to be an artist. It took real talent and millions of drawings to do this. Stale CG animation can never fully capture the magic. Walt Disney would roll over in his grave if he knew what happened to Disney know.

Yeah CG has some merit. Disneys pixars coming out with some realistic work. I like anime cartoons, but their movements arent as fluid as the old American cartoons were like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck etc. It's so amazing, you can almost read their lips in those old cartoons!!! Yeah that stuff isn't apreciated. My generation got shafted!! The old generation had it made as far as that stuff goes.

Aaaaaah... "The Old Mill". I absolutely adore this short.
No matter how many times I watched it, it STILL gets me every time. Sometimes it's the opening, sometimes one part of the storm scene, or another... But always something "hits" me, don't ask me why, I don't know.
Simply put: a masterpiece.
5 stars & faved for sure!
BTW, did you know that a rather recent Simpsons episode ("Bart Has 2 Mommies") contains some clear references to this short?

Wow tryuly a classic, Thanks!
....but I was wondering is someone could help me find another Disney Cartoon, What I could remember of it, It involved a Little boy and his Giant Dad.
A scene I remember most was when the Giant dad scooped up water in his hands, and then the little boy used the dads thumb as a diving bored to jump into the water the dad had scooped up
If anyboudy has a clue on this It would be great if you could let me know,
Thanks!

First animated movie having the benefit of the multiplane camera, invented for Walt Disney by William Garity. The second animated movie including multiplane shots was the first full-length animated movie, Snow White... But I think "The Old Mill" still remains my all time favourite cartoon.
