Yes the US Government was trying to deport him because he was opposed to British rule in N. Ireland. Too bad he didn't get a chance to retire off to the coast of Ireland,like he wanted. But he liked NY City as well. People tell me they would bump into him, walking the street like a normal person. No bodyguards,entourage or pretense.
