A friend posted a clip [on FB]and have been caught up playing almost all of them this evening!!! Thanks for all the good laughs...I needed that today! LOLOLOLOL... have passed along the Kid's Rock to my grown kids & they all had good laughs as well. One of my kids laughed so hard, well, you can guess what could've happened. Thanks bunches!!!

I mean. they don't harm and deffinitely do a good job in creating a good time. As you said, he is not being perverted or using em in a way to offend people. But (juz my thoughts) it might give others (non-believers) the impression that worship songs are not being taken seriously, that this is all a joke. Or in a different acct, the song writers might be offended (meant to worship God) to be used as a joke. I know these are not the intentions. But it could have the appearance. Juz an opinion ^__^

But at the same time, the jokes are being used as clean entertainment to entertain christians. In a sense the "joke" is also being used to praise God, but in a different way.
There are so many raunchy comedians out there its good to see someone use things to give christians some clean entertainment.
My thought is that if they are getting upset over that then they need to reevaluate if they are trying to praise God or if they are trying to boost their ego.

That is true. The jokes are clearly clean and it is also true that there are raunchy comedians out there, but Tim offers good entertainment. Prasing God, now that's a little hard to see. I do believe that his point of view was clear; It would be bad for corporations to take over the church.
Don't get me wrong, I really do appreciate the works of Tim Hawkins. I've watched several of his vids and they are pretty cool.

But this one in particular.... if the point he made at the beginning is missed or if the jokes are overdone, we basically end up doing what we say would be wrong or dumb...
Once again, just an opinion thrown out there.
People really did enjoy this vid. And my worries of this being misunderstood to others has not become reality. I enjoyed it myself.
My only desire is that the generations to come don't make this actually happen. That this will stay just as a clean entertainment, not reality

As far as his praising God with his work, that really boils down to his intent and the only people that would know that would be him and God.
Unfortunately other people will take his work how they will. The only thing we can do is enjoy it and explain to folks if they misunderstand the intent.
One positive is that I have seen a couple of people look for the actual songs these were based on. That could be another positive. Maybe it will help some people discover a couple decent songs

You do have a good point. If as you said people looked up for the songs, Tim actually did a good work on praising God as well as entertaining many others.
You do give a good solution. It's good to see how much patience you had in explaining all you have so far. It did bless me to see your continuous work when what I said could have brought up arguments.
