I'd say the Mercedes S class is nicer, roomier, and more luxurious. But the technology in the BMW 7 is superior.

I think whichever you buy, you're still making a great choice. However, journos have not driven it yet, so it's difficult to say if on the road this is better than an S-Class. In terms of technology, both warn you if you're changing into the next lane and there's another car, both slow by themselves when a car is in front...and the Merc has Pre-Safe and massaging seats too, although the BMW has pedestrian recognition, a heads-up display and 4-wheel steering...I think I'd still get a Merc though
