His full name is Jim O'Brien and he was riding his new gsxr1000, black and orange when a car pulled out of a parking lot and he laid the bike down and impacted the car, passed away at the scene.

if you don't let go of gas when you shift, or us clutch, the gear shifter is extremely hard to move, and you can strip a tranny gear or damage other parts of the engine easily... i can manage to use clutch on 3 of our bikes...

Dont people realize that you cant use the clutch when your up because you'll instantly set the bike down. You just have to hammer shift, its just like in a car...you dont need the clutch to shift. After a while of doing it, it will get easier to shift as the clutch get broken in.

you shouldn't need to shift at all. you just have to get the front wheel up higher till you reach balance point. also, if your front tire is up high enough you can easily shift with the clutch.

i agree with you,that`s right,i have a drz one month now and i`ve almost managed it,i just can`t shift on the air and i think using the clutch is much more better for the engine parts

Best advice yet, thanks a ton. The part where you "release the clutch; dump the clutch" in one quick action solves all my problems. Also how the shifts come in and when you hit the rear brake... Crazy as balls on the street though.

you really shouldnt use the clutch.
what you do is when you feather as soon as you pop off the gas for that lil second pull up. this will not hurt your bike.
