live.pirillo.com - geeks.pirillo.com - You might remember awhile ago, I took a telemarketing call from a company that claimed to provide Web 2.0 services. I strung them along, just to mess with them. First of all, learn what a beta is. It's not a time when they should have all the bugs out, it's a time for finding those bugs. Secondly, it doesn't matter what company is developing a product, if it's in beta, that means it's not stable, period.
trust me its to long to explain why it does
i know
trust me
I know what a beta is and agree with you on that. But I also know what it is not. As you said you're supposed to FIND the bugs they can't. Well I, (and apparently hundreds of other people too) have experienced the same exact problem. This is fine as you said since it's the beta, accept for in this case when it's so painfully obvious that I can't see how anyone could miss it...
I don't think you understand how hard it is to actually test software and websites in every possible situation. I'm a hobbyist software developer, and I can tell you firsthand that it's not very easy, especially when every person in the world has different combinations of hardware, OSs, dlls, and other software.
Give it some time. It's not easy to make software.
Oh and "google" doesn't own anything its al Microsoft
